I have been a research lecturer at the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences since 2007. My research interests are in medical screening and diagnosis with a focus on cancer. I am currently the deputy chair of the UK National Screening Committee (UK NSC) Research Methods Group (RMG) - an expert group which supports the committee to identify and prioritise research recommendations. I am also a member of the Royal Statistical Society (RSS) medical section.

I teach medical statistics and Evidence-Based Health Care (EBHC) on undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the university.  I am co-coordinate Statistical Computing for Heath Care Research - a module on the MSc in Evidence Based Health Care (Medical Statistics), Remote monitoring and Digital Diagnostics module on the MSc Applied Digital Health and I am deputy coordinator for the Year 1 & 2 medical statistics teaching of the Oxford pre-clinical (First BM).

I am deputy director of the EBHC part-time DPhil programme and supervise a number of part-time DPhil's as well as full time DPhil's and Masters students in EBHC.
