This is an exciting opportunity to take on a newly created position at the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences (NDPCHS). We are looking to appoint a Digital Learning Manager to lead the department’s digital education agenda, enhancing the use of technologies to deliver an exemplary learning experience for our students and, in time, building a team to serve the ongoing development and maintenance of postgraduate programmes.

The position combines strategic evaluation and development of the department’s digital education offering and resourcing, with delivering hands-on learning design work across our portfolio. Having grown our portfolio of postgraduate courses in recent years, NDPCHS now offers an impressive range of Master’s and DPhil programmes. More detail about our programmes is available here.

Responsibilities include acting as a central point for consultation with faculty members and programme delivery teams to offer tailored pedagogical, design and development direction for online, hybrid and/or blended courses; developing online and blended course materials from concept to production, incorporating faculty and student feedback to implement ongoing improvements and managing and optimising the use of technologies such as Canvas, Panopto and Team; and explore and promote the use of technology in teaching and learning.

This role would suit individuals with a passion for teaching and learning looking to make a significant impact on student experience and a commitment to developing an exemplary service-focused team and strengthening our prestigious teaching portfolio. You will have experience producing digital educational materials, including multimedia and interactive learning experiences, ideally have skills in curriculum design and will work well within cross-functional teams.

You will be based in the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Radcliffe Primary Care Building, Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6GG as your normal place of work but you may be able to agree a pattern of regular remote working with your line manager.

This post is full-time and permanent.

Informal enquiries about the post can be addressed to the Head of Programmes, Judy Irving on judy.irving@phc.ox.ac.uk .

You will be required to upload a CV and Supporting Statement as part of your online application. The Supporting Statement should include a cover letter and should also clearly describe how you meet each of the selection criteria listed in the job description.
