The Department of Primary Care Health Sciences' MaDOx group. led by Dr Matthew Thompson, hosted the 2nd “UK Diagnostics Forum” this week in conjunction with NICE, the Technology Strategy Board, and the British In-vitro Diagnostics Association.

Over 100 international delegates attended the meeting in Oxford which brought together leaders from the diagnostics industry, research methodologists, clinicians and regulators to outline a strategy for improving the efficiency bench to bedside evidence for diagnostics and implementation.

Feedback from everyone who attended forum has been extremely positive, and the plans are now to continue this unique forum, focussing on implementation of diagnostics, and to offer specific training modules in diagnostics for industry.
