The EU has a significant impact on health and social care, and Brexit will create major issues in this sector. A Parliamentary inquiry has identified six areas: the health and social care workforce, reciprocal health coverage, regulation and research of medicines and medical devices, public health, funding and wider market and trade rules. The major impact on health, though, is likely to come from the economic cost of Brexit putting even more pressure on financing an already stretched health and care system.
