NASSS-CAT tools
The NASSS-CAT tools have been developed by the IRIHS group to help you plan, undertake and evaluate technology-supported change projects in health or social care. They are based on the Non-adoption, Abandonment, and challenges to Scale-up, Spread, and Sustainability (NASSS) framework which has been combined with a complexity assessment toolkit. The tools have been designed to try to reduce the high proportion of technology projects that fail in health and care sectors.
It is really helpful to monitor who is using the tools and how they are being used. This will allow us to improve the tools in the future and better support the needs of different users.

Replication of the Oxford NASSS framework in the Netherlands
Technologies are often viewed as the route to better, safer and more efficient care, but technology projects rarely live up to all expectations. To timely identify the non-adoption, abandonment and challenges to scale-up, spread and sustainability of technology, the IRIHS team have developed the NASSS framework. In the next two years, they will collaborate with Dr. Judith Rietjens and Dr. Ida Korfage from the Department of Public Health of Erasmus MC, who have received 160,000 euro from The Netherlands Organisation for Health Research and Development to replicate the NASSS framework for the Dutch context, and to develop a more practical version of the framework for use outside the academic setting.
