We are working to make our department greener, and reduce our impact on the environment.
What is green impact?
Green Impact is a national environmental accreditation and awards scheme run by the NUS which brings together staff and students to improve sustainability in their department, building or college across the University.
The department will be measured across a variety of criteria from recycling,energy and travel to biodiversity and communication. In the academic year 2016/17 the department achieved a Bronze Award for our progress to date.
What do we do?
The team meets approximately every six weeks to generate ideas and update on our progress. We are currently developing an action plan and would like to hear from staff and students about what you what you think could be done to improve sustainability within the department. So either drop us an email or come and speak to one of the team – currently all the team are based in Radcliffe Primary Care Building but we would like more members who are based in the Gibson Building.
