Journal Clubs
There are several journal clubs running in the department, with different interests represented and a lot of lively discussion. Here's an overview of clubs our staff and students are welcome to attend.
Obesity Journal Club
What?
A club discussing the latest papers in obesity research.
When and where?
Monthly - look out for announcements in the departmental Weekly Update. This will also let you know where the session will be held.
Who?
Nerys Astbury runs the sessions each month, and you can get in touch with her if you have any questions.
Psychology Interest Group
What?
A club discussing the latest papers in psychology research.
When and where?
Monthly - look out for announcements in the departmental Weekly Update. This will also let you know where the session will be held.

Qualitative Journal Club
What?
A very informal club gathering together people with an interest in qualitative work. No experience necessary!
When and where?
There are 2 sessions per term. Upcoming sessions are on: 28 January, 5 March, 28 April, 11 June. These will all be in Meeting Room 1 in the Radcliffe Primary Care building.
Who?
Nikki Newhouse runs the sessions, please email her to be added to the contact list. She will send out papers for discussion about a week before each session.
Social Theory Journal Club
What?
A journal club for staff and DPhil students interested in social theory.
When and where?
Sessions usually take place every two months. Make sure you're added to the mailing list so you can be notified of the times and locations of upcoming sessions.

ReproducibiliTea: A Journal Club on 'Open and Reproducible Science'
What?
Our Journal Club is open to everyone: from Open Science enthusiasts to beginners and sceptics. Together, we can learn from one another and improve how we conduct and share our research, data, methods, code, statistical analyses, and more! We cater to both qualitative and quantitative methodologists and focus on all aspects of Open Science in research.

Wednesdays at 12.30pm for 1 hour. The ReproducibiliTea club runs for 8 weeks each academic term to align with the Oxford academic calendar.
