Join TV presenter Dr Chris van Tulleken to talk dieting with scientists from the recent BBC2 documentary What’s The Right Diet For You? A Horizon Special.

Explore the factors leading to weight gain, discover how diets work (and why they sometimes don’t), discuss how we can manage our own weight better, and ask how we can tackle the rising issue of obesity. Includes plenty opportunities to ask questions and join the discussion.

Our panel of experts for the evening is:

Professor Fiona Gribble, University of Cambridge, who specialises in how our hormones respond to food.

Dr Giles Yeo, University of Cambridge, who specialises in the genetics of obesity

Professor Paul Aveyard, University of Oxford, a GP who researches ways to help people change their behaviour

Professor Susan Jebb, University of Oxford, a nutrition scientist who specialises in diet and weight loss.

Bringing it all together is Dr Christoffer van Tulleken, presenter of What’s The Right Diet For You? A Horizon Special.

Chris is a medical doctor who is currently studying for a PhD. He has presented several TV programmes including the BAFTA Award winning CBBC series ‘Operation Ouch!’ and BBC2’s ‘Trust Me, I’m a Doctor’.

In association with the Wellcome Trust-MRC Institute of Metabolic Science and MRC Metabolic Diseases Unit.
