You need to have a Symplectic account set up to so that your publications (if you have them) flow through automatically to your profile. Please email Dan Richards-Doran to request a Symplectic account. Once your Symplectic account has been set up (this usually takes around 5 days), you can manage which publications you wish to show on your profile through the 'Edit' button at the top of the 'Publications' column.
- View the Symplectic section of the University of Oxford website
- Download the Symplectic Quick Start Guide (recommended)
- Log-in to your Symplectic Account (Single Sign On required)
ADDITIONAL ONLINE INFORMATION FOR UPDATING PROFILES
If there's a publication you want to display which doesn't appear on your web profile list, you'll need to add it to your Symplectic account first and it will be pulled through to the website when it's refreshed. This typically happens overnight.
Adding Altmetric scores to your profile
Thousands of conversations about scholarly content happen online every day. Altmetric tracks a range of sources to capture and collate this activity, helping you to monitor and report on the attention surrounding the work you care about. We have now integrated Altmetric into the department website, so you can now see the Altmetric score for each of your papers directly via the website, and showcase these on your team profile. You need to manually activate Altmetric on your profile by following these instructions. Where there is no score displaying, either there is no DOI associated with your publication in Symplectic, or your research has not been talked about yet.
