Internal Recruitment During COVID-19
To ensure that internal candidates, especially those on fixed-term contracts, have the best opportunity to apply for vacancies within the department, all department job vacancies will be reviewed for redeployment opportunities within the department and initially advertised internally for 7 days if no immediate redeployment opportunities are identified.
A redeployment list is held by HR for staff whose contract is coming to an end and want to be considered for opportunities in other research groups. When a new vacancy arises HR will review the list for potential redeployment candidates before internally advertising the post.
Candidates identified will be contacted by a member of HR with the details of the vacancy and then put in touch with the line manager to discuss the role if they are interested. If several redeployment candidates are identified short interviews will be arranged.
If you would like to be included on the redeployment list please email firstname.lastname@example.org a short description or a few key words, describing your key areas of expertise/research interests.
You don't have to be included on the list to apply as an internal candidate for posts advertised as below and it will not impact your rights to be considered as a priority candidate at the appropriate time under the University end of fixed-term contract procedures.
Internal Job Vacancies
There are no open internal vacancies at the moment.
During the 7 day internal application period, applicants are asked to submit their CV and a short statement of how they meet the essential criteria directly to email@example.com by 12 noon (GMT+0100) on the closing date.
Please follow the link in the posted advert to see further particulars and to apply. As part of your application, you will be required to upload the documents below:
1. A Curriculum Vitae
2. A letter of application/supporting statement.
Hiring managers are asked to recognised that this will not be a polished application given the short timeframe.
If you are applying for a research post and you have had periods of working part-time, please indicate this on your CV or in your supporting statement. This will ensure that any outputs such as publications are fairly judged when considered alongside the expected outputs of full-time workers.
Where posts are advertised full-time, we may be able to consider part-time working or job share arrangements depending on the requirements of the role. If you want to work part-time and this option is not expressly stated in the advert or job information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to enquire whether the role you are applying for might be available on a part-time basis.
