Department Members often identify the need to transfer information assets to groups or individuals outside of the Department. These transfers help achieve Department research and business goals and are routinely completed in accordance with certain regulatory or contractual requirements.

The Department requires Members to obtain approval in advance on any proposed data transfer containing information that is classified as Confidential or Internal and that is intended to be transferred to persons or computer systems outside of the Department. Refer to the IG policy PHC_POL_IG104 for more information
