2 December 2016

This December, CEBM are collecting non-perishable food items, as well as toiletries and feminine hygiene products, to donate to the Oxford Food Bank, who currently supply around 80 local registered charities with free food, thereby reducing cost and food waste, and helping to ensure that less fortunate members of the local community receive a wide range of nutritious food.

Please consider donating:

  • TINS OR PACKETS OF SOUP
  • TEA, COFFEE AND OTHER HOT BEVERAGES
  • INSTANT NOODLES
  • BOTTLED OR TINNED SAUCES
  • TINS OF MEAT AND FISH
  • RICE OR PASTA
  • TINNED VEGETABLES
  • SUGAR
  • TINNED FRUIT
  • CEREALS OR INSTANT PORRIDGE
  • TINS OF PUDDINGS (CUSTARD, RICE PUDDING ETC.)
  • BISCUITS OR CRACKERS
  • LONG LIFE FRUIT JUICE
  • UHT/POWDERED MILK
  • JAMS AND SPREADS
  • SWEETS AND CHOCOLATE

When donating food, please ensure that it has a clearly marked ‘sell by date’ of at least 6 months in advance. Please note that the food bank cannot accept fresh meat or fish, or prepared food (including sandwiches and cooked meals).

We are also keen to donate toiletries and feminine hygiene products, such as:

  • SANITARY TOWELS
  • TAMPONS
  • TOILET ROLL
  • SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER
  • SOAP
  • DEODERANT
  • TOOTHBRUSH & TOOTHPASTE

If you have any questions, please contact Ruth Davis or Alice Rollinson.
