The University’s instructions are very clear that you must get written consent for any photo that you take of a member of the public (and also, in most circumstances, staff and students). If the individual is under 18 years old, you must get consent from their parent or guardian. The consent form should also be accompanied by a Privacy Notice explaining what you will do with the image and how long you will keep it. The instructions from the University are here
