Online personal safety course
19 May 2017
The University Safety Office is piloting an online personal safety training course for female business travellers.
The course is not designed for long term fieldworkers in remote areas, where more specific training is required, but it is intended to provide general safety advice, prompts and reminders for the kinds of issues that can arise, as well as a number of useful tips to help prepare the female traveller. The course is not only a useful resource for inexperienced travellers but is intended to be a useful refresher for more experienced travellers too.
There are currently up to 30 slots available, and places will be offered on a first come first served basis, although a spread across departments would be most useful for the pilot. More spaces may become available if there is sufficient demand for this offer. Places are offered free of charge.
Anyone interested should contact Julie.email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org In order to set up candidates on the system the following details will be required: Name, department, University email address
