Radcliffe Observatory Public Realm Improvements - road works starting 10 October 2017
As part of the preparation work for the ROQ improvement scheme we will be carrying out an exercise to confirm the location of the existing underground utility (services) apparatus located in the west side of the road (ROQ side of Woodstock Road). Our contractor will be excavating a series of small hand dug pits at 7 locations along the road.
Because of the traffic sensitivity of the road, works will be restricted to being carried out between the hours of 9.30 am and 3.30 pm starting on Tuesday 10 October 2017, and will take up to 9 days to complete. The road is sufficiently wide enough to maintain 2-way flow for traffic and access to your properties will be maintained throughout the exercise. However, we will be coning-off sections of the pay and display parking bays and one end of the bus stop by ROQ Gate 7 whilst the pits are being excavated in those areas. Some noise will be generated during the operation to saw cut the existing road surface, but this is expected to last 15-20 mins per pit.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding.
