Wiley are inviting ten ECRS to a roundtable consultation on how they feel about the world of publishing, and how the process helps or hinders them in progressing their research.

The provisional date is Thursday 3rd May, 10am to 3pm, at Wiley’s office on Garsington Road, OX4 2DQ. Wiley will, of course, cover all reasonable travel expenses, and lunch will be provided (as well as a small goody bag!)

Participants will be asked to discuss the following topics:

  • The business of research publishing;
  • Diversity and equality in research and in publishing;
  • Their view of publishers and of our role in the research endeavor;
  • The pain points and rewards of disseminating their research.

For this purpose, Wiley define ECRs as researchers in the first 3-5 years of their career post-PhD.

Any interested postdocs who fit this criterion, please write to Kate McKellar ( ASAP .
