Weighing Up the Issues: Public Panel – Are you interested in weight management issues? Have you had experience of trying to lose weight, struggled with weight management or suffer with weight related problems?

Who are we?

We are a group of researchers based at the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Behavioural Medicine Team at the University of Oxford.

What is our research about?

A big part of our research is looking at weight management by adopting a healthier life style and following different weight loss interventions.

What will taking part involve?

We would like to create a panel of people to get involved with designing our research projects all the way through from start to finish. It is important to have people involved who have experience of weight management issues whom we can invite to meet with us during the planning stage, evolve and shape fledgling ideas, and whom we can meet with to help discuss our research findings and provide us with feedback. The panel would also help us to develop plans to implement our findings into real practice and perhaps even lead to change in government policy.

Please note that this is not an invitation to take part in a research study, but an invitation for people to get involved with designing the research.

Will expenses be reimbursed?

Yes, we will pay for any expenses and provide refreshments at all the meetings.

How do I get involved?

If you would like to join our public panel please contact
