University of Oxford

The Primary Care Clinical Trials Unit is an integral part of the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences at the University of Oxford. Our research themes are aligned with the departmental priorities on infectious diseases, cardiovascular and metabolic disease, behavioural medicine and other topics of major national and international importance.

Our Vision

To be a world-class and leading primary care trials unit.

Our Mission

To develop, deliver, interpret and disseminate patient-facing primary care research to the highest international standards.

The Unit is part of the Primary Care and Vaccine Collaborative Clinical Trials Unit (PCVC-CTU) consortium in recognition of its ability to coordinate high quality, academically-led, multi-centred clinical trials. We work closely with NHS Trusts across England and Wales and the UK Clinical Research Network.
