Health economic aspects of childhood excess weight

Drawing from the literature and the Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD) anonymised patient data, a primary care database representative UK population, part of my DPhil project will focus on developing a framework for estimating body weight and health economic outcomes over varying time horizons, given individual baseline conditions in childhood.

My DPhil research is funded by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) Oxford and Thames Valley. My supervisors are Professor Stavros Petrou, Associate Professor Mara Violato and Dr Nerys Astbury.

My previous research roles at Brunel University London and the University of Southampton involved evaluating the cost-effectiveness of health technologies for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and other policymakers.
