Epidemiologist
Andrea Schaffer is an epidemiologist primarily working on OpenSAFELY. Prior to coming to the University of Oxford in 2022, she was at the University of New South Wales where her research concentrated on using routinely collected data to understand how medicines are used in the population, with a particular interest in evaluating the impact of health interventions on medicine use and health outcomes. She also has expertise in interrupted time series analysis. She obtained her PhD in pharmacoepidemiology from the University of New South Wales, and also has an MSc in Epidemiology (McGill University), and an MBiostat in Biostatistics (University of Sydney).
