Behnaz Ravanfar

BPharm MSc

Assistant Trial Manager

I joined the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences in February 2015. My role is to set-up, manage and deliver clinical trials at GP practices.

Studies:

CANDID (Cancer Diagnosis Decision Roles) is an observational study trying to investigate which of the symptoms and examination findings are the most effective in predicting lung or colon cancer.

HEAT is a large randomised controlled trial designed to investigate whether a one week course of Helicobacter pylori eradication in patients using aspirin ≤325mg daily will reduce the incidence of gastric ulcer bleeding that results in hospitalisation.

Prior to my current role, I worked for 18 months as an assistant scientist for a pharmaceutical research company providing scientific evidence in the support of efficacy toward novel pharmaceutical compounds.
