As the Senior Clinical Research Nurse, I am responsible for the day to day management of the clinicial research team and I support them with their research activities. 

I am a tutor on the Clinical Trials Management Module.of the MSc in Evidence Based Health Care and I facilitate the sessions on recruitment.

I joined the Clinical Trials Unit in 2017 as a Clinical Research Nurse for the INVICTUS trial - a Phase 2b flu vaccine trial which aimed to see if a novel vaccine, used in conjunction with the standard flu vaccine, offered increased protection to older adults from influenza-like illness.  I have worked on numerous CTIMP and non-CTiMP studies since. 

I am currently working on the following studies:

DEFINE - Determining the effectiveness of an online FeNO- guided management intervention in Primary Care

DISCO UTI - Diagnosing Care Home UTI study - a feasibility cohort study on predictors of diagnosis and prognosis of urine infection in care home residents.

Value Dx - Platform randomised controlled trial of point of care diagnostics for enhancing the quality of antibiotic prescribing for community acquired acute respiratory tract infection in ambulatory care in Europe

More recently I was working on two national platform therapeutic clinical trials for COVID-19 in the community: 

PRINCIPLE - Platform Randomised Trial of Treatments in the Community for Epidemic and Pandemic Illness, and

PANORAMIC - Platform adaptive trial of novel antivirals for early treatment of COVID-19 in the community

Previously I have worked on the following studies:

SuMMiT-D - Investigating the use of text messages to support people with the management of Type-2 diabetes. 

ABRS - Asthma Breathing Record Study, testing a dveice to help predict when asthma exacerbations were likely to occur and allowing for treatment to begin at an earlier stage.
