Claire Blacklock

Honorary Clinical Researcher

My interest is in health systems research; particularly in the delivery of evidence-based healthcare in low- and middle-income countries.

Recent work has included a systematic review looking at contextual modifiers of effect in intervention trials to improve health worker performance in sub-Saharan Africa, and a review of performance-based financing for family planning in LMICs. As a previous Academic Clinical Fellow in the Department, I worked with colleagues on projects in childhood infections, health workforce migration and non-communicable diseases.

I work at the University of Leeds, Leeds Institute of Health Sciences, Nuffield Centre for International Health and Development, as a Lecturer in International Public Health.
