I am a GP with clinical and research interests in cardiometabolic disease. I have also worked in vaccine research, multi-morbidity, polypharmacy and evidence synthesis. I completed my MSc in Diabetes, where my dissertation explored the impact of smoking and its cessation on cardiometabolic parameters in people with Type 2 Diabetes. My doctorate thesis is on developing a conceptual framework of the natural history of kidney disease based on smoking and glycaemic status. I am interested in evidence synthesis, network meta-analysis, HTA and big data analyses.

I have also been involved in teaching a multi-professional primary care workforce.

Outside work, I like travelling and playing chess.
