Emma Palmer-Cooper

SPCR Research Fellow & Patient and Public Involvement Officer

My role is to coordinate the Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement strategy across the nine partners of the NIHR School for Primary Care Research: Bristol, Cambridge, Keele, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Oxford, Southampton and University College London. I support activities and training for Involvement Leads and Trainees, as well as resources for both researchers and Involvement Contributors.

I am also an honorary Post-Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Psychiatry, looking at prevalence of antibody mediated psychosis, and both clinical and cognitive correlates of this disorder.

In my PhD work I investigated the relationship between mood and cognition on Insight into psychiatric illnesses, such as psychosis and dementia.
