SNSF Advanced Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Evi Germeni joined the Health Experiences Research Group (HERG) in November 2016 thanks to an Advanced Postdoc Mobility Fellowship that she won from the Swiss National Science Foundation. She has a background in Health Communication, with considerable focus on qualitative research approaches. She is currently working on a methodological project, the overall goal of which is to enhance scientific understanding of possible ways in which qualitative findings could be better integrated in evidence-based practice and health policy-making. Before coming to Oxford, she spent six months at the University of Exeter Medical School, working with members of the Third Gap team on updating a systematic review and synthesis of published qualitative literature on primary care professionals’ experiences of antibiotic prescribing. She spent the previous four years serving as Postdoctoral Researcher and Lecturer of Qualitative Research Methods in Health Communication at the University of Lugano, Switzerland.
