Hannah Swayze

BSc, PhD

Senior Trial Manager

I am the Trial Manager for the INVICTUS study, which aims to identify whether a novel vaccine in addition to the licensed flu vaccine, better protects older adults from flu-like illness.

I joined the department in August 2015 as part of the Cardiovascular and Renal Research Theme to work on the BARACK D trial, which aims to determine the effect of aldosterone receptor antagonism on mortality and cardiovascular outcomes in patients with stage 3b chronic kidney disease. Following this post, I worked on the OPTiMISE study, which investigates medication reduction in elderly patients with controlled systolic hypertension.

Prior to working at the PC-CTU I worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Sussex and Kings College London, on various research projects in the areas of addiction, anxiety, nicotine and attention, and obesity.
