Juliette Meek

Research Nurse

I completed my training at Guy's School of Nursing in 1988 and worked in Lewisham Hospital for many years in specialities including E.N.T., high dependency, surgical and medical wards and with the National Blood Service as a Session Officer managing blood donor sessions in London, Oxford and Reading.

I then worked as a Practice Nurse in GP surgeries, and as a Community Nurse with the School Health Team in Oxfordshire, and then moved to Cyprus working with SSAFA as a School Nurse, then as a Practice Nurse with the Ministry of Defence at RAF Akrotiri.

I became a Research Nurse with the Oxford Vaccine Group in 2014 where I worked for three years on phase 1 and phase 2 GMO vaccine studies including RSV, Ebola and Typhoid, plus paratyphoid and typhoid challenge studies.

I joined the Primary Health Care Clinical Trials Unit as a Research Nurse in June 2017 where I hope to learn all about primary healthcare research, and share my previous knowledge and learning to enhance the team.
