Research Administrator

I am a Research Administrator working in the Health Behaviours team.

I mainly work on the LightCOM trials: LightBAR, LightWAY and LightCARE. These are a collaboration between researchers in Denmark and Oxford that are testing a new weight-loss treatment programme. Each study will compare this new treatment programme with current best NHS care, and we want to see how worthwhile the new treatment is and how much it could improve long-term health and quality of life for people living with obesity.

I also work on the New DAWN study. For people who have been recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and are overweight, losing weight can put diabetes into remission. The NewDAWN study is testing whether a new service can help more people with type 2 diabetes to achieve remission compared with the current best NHS treatment.
