Kerstin Frie

DPhil Student

I am a DPhil student in Primary Health Care under the supervision of Professor Paul Aveyard and Professor Susan Jebb

My research focusses on the development and testing of a behavioural intervention that shall help people control their weight using body scales. The intervention will focus on daily weighing in combination with other minimal interventions, and aims to trigger a self-regulation process. My research is funded through the CLAHRC and the Oxford-Wolfson Marriott-Primary Health Care Graduate Scholarship.

My background lies in the field of psychology. In 2015, I graduated with a first class BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Duesseldorf, Germany. Prior to beginning this DPhil, I completed the MSc in Social Cognition at University College London.
