Manar Marzouk

Visitor - Health Experiences Research Group

I am a sponsored researcher at Health Experience Research Group, University of Oxford. My research interest is refugees’ access to health care services in Low- Middle income countries, with particular interest in the Middle East region.

Currently, I am conducting a secondary analysis about ethnic groups experience with mental health services in the UK. This research is part of one year grant from Brasenose College. In 2016, I have obtained a Masters’ degree in International Health and Tropical Medicine from University of Oxford, where I have conducted a qualitative research about cancer care management for Syrian refugees in Jordan.

In addition, I have three years working experience in displacement settings : UNICEF- Syria (Child Protection Officer, 2014-2015), UNHCR- Syria (Protection Field Monitoring, 2013-2014), and WHO – EMRO (Internship, 2016).
