Marie Spreckley

PhD (c), MSc, MBus, PGDip, BA

Assistant Trial Manager

I work in the Health Behaviours team in the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Services. My primary research interests centre around sustainable weight loss, weight related co-morbidities and behaviour change. I currently work in the DIAMOND and LiFT2 research team.
Prior to joining the team, I spent over a decade working as a nutritionist in the NHS and private practice with a particular focus on weight management, weight-related co-morbidities and overall health improvements.
I am also in the final months of concluding my PhD, which focused on investigating behavioural determinants that increase the likelihood of achieving long-term weight loss outcomes. Alongside this, I taught the Master of Science in Obesity and Weight Management to experienced healthcare professionals at the University of South Wales.
