Marloes Franssen

PhD, MSc, BSc

Trial Manager

After completing a PhD looking at an exercise intervention for people in Parkinson's Disease I moved on to clinical trials.

I started in the Primary Care Clinical Trials Unit in September 2014 as a Clinical Trial Coordinator for ARCHIE in the infectious diseases theme, which investigates the early use of anitbiotics in at risk children with influenza. I then moved on to the Cardiovascular and Renal theme. I have worked in this theme running various hypertension trials.

Currently I am working in infectious diseases and will be looking at D-Mannose for recurrent UTIs.

Finally, I am involved in the Clinical Trial Module we run from the unit as a lecturer and a facilitator.
