I am an Oxford GP and In-Practice Fellow funded by the National Institute of Health and Research.
In my research I’m exploring bedside tests for unwell children in community and emergency department settings. I’m doing this with a qualitative interview study; and a “horizon scan” to summarise the literature.
I previously worked with the Oxford Vaccine Group on typhoidal salmonella human challenge studies, and was the lead research fellow for a phase I/IIa meningitis B vaccine trial. Other research experience includes a qualitative study into use of a structured communication tool within the neonatal department of a tertiary South African hospital.
Clinical work in rural South Africa has heightened my passion for infectious disease and global health.
