I am currently the Trial Manager for CONDUCT (COllectioN Devices to reduce Urine ConTamination) with Dr Gail Hayward as Chief Investigator. The primary objective is to determine whether the use of urine collection devices, compared to standardised instructions, reduces the proportion of contaminated urine specimens. It is a large three-arm randomised controlled trial recruiting up to 40 sites across England and Wales. We aim to recruit 1191 participants over a period of one year.
I also currently work with the MERMAIDS-ARI team and coordinate recruitment from Oxfordshire surgeries. The primary aim of this study is to identify host and pathogen related determinants of disease severity of acute respiratory infections (ARI). This study is part of Work Package 3 (WP3) of the Platform for European Preparedness Against (Re-) emerging Epidemics (PREPARE) consortium grant.
Prior to joining the department in 2015 I worked for two years as a Research Coordinator for the Critical Care Research Group based at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
