I am a post-doctoral researcher, a GP at a practice in Oxford and also work as a community cardiologist. During my NIHR-funded academic clinical fellowship (ACF), I developed a keen interest in improving the diagnosis and management of common infections. My Wellcome Trust-funded DPhil focused on non-antibiotic treatment of common bacterial infections, namely, the use of cranberry extract as a means of managing acute urinary tract infections. At a post-doctoral level, in addition to pursuing antibiotic stewardship research, I am working on national (PRINCIPLE and PANORAMIC) and international (ECRAID-Prime) platform therapeutic clinical trials for epidemic and pandemic illnesses.
