Research Assistant

Sara joined the department in 2022 as a Research Assistant (RA) to support with research on Care Navigation. Care Navigation is a work package that is part of the Remote by Default-2 (RBD2) studythatspecificallyaims to identify how people with social care needs can be supported with accessing remote primary care.

Sara is a UK-trained Clinical Pharmacist with experience working in secondary care in the NHS. She also has experience working as a Healthcare and Life Sciences Senior Consultant with EY.

She is one of the Global Health and Education Program Leads for the Children of War Foundation. Through her work with the Foundation, Sara has initiated a remote education program collaborating with local ed-tech platforms and connecting refugees and disadvantaged students to education through the provision of tablets and internet access. Additionally, she led the first remote medical triage through Assisted Reality headsets near the Jordanian border. 

Sara is passionate about implementing the learning from the Translational Health Sciences MSc to bridge the gap to more equitable healthcare and support with the effective translation of different technologies and innovations.
