Qualitative/Social Care Researcher
My background is in political science mainly concentrating on how public policy develops. My Ph.D. focused on the development of policy around the transition to adult care for Cerebral Palsy patients in Scotland and the levels of that care across the local authority and NHS areas of Scotland. After completing my PhD in 2018 I worked at University of Stirling looking at the experiences of people around using self-directed support in Scotland to provide access support with social care needs in the home.
I joined the department in 2020 to assist with the flourishing lives project looking at how we define good social care.
