Communications Manager
I am responsible for delivering the Department’s research communications and events programme, working with academics and professional services colleagues to communicate complex research clearly to non-specialist audiences. Reporting to the Head of Communications, I provide strategic advice, oversee digital and written content across channels, and ensure communications are inclusive, accessible and effective.
I manage the Department-wide events programme and line-manage the Events Officer, with responsibility for strategy, budgets, compliance and evaluation. I also support stakeholder engagement, staff training and continuous improvement of communications and event processes to maximise the impact of the Department’s work.
Prior to joining the Department, I worked in the charity sector in a range of communications roles covering PR, Marketing and Internal Communications.
