Programme Curriculum
There are seven immersive in-person modules taught in Oxford. These modules will be supported by online distance learning activities and reading. The eighth module will be delivered online over the duration of the programme.

1. Healthcare leader: Personal perspectives and challenges: September 2024
2. Organisational leadership: November 2024
3. Systems leading in comparative health systems: February 2025
4. Leading with evidence-based healthcare: April 2025
5. Healthcare innovation: June 2025
6. Healthcare policy and systems: September 2025
7. Challenges in global health: November 2025
8. Evidence-Based Health Care: Study design and research methods (online): Module 8 will be made up of five learning blocks delivered online throughout the duration of the programme in live, synchronous sessions - exact dates tbc.
About the programme
The part-time MSc in Global Healthcare Leadership is an intellectually rigorous and highly practical programme, designed to develop experienced leaders with the skills to deliver affordable, effective and efficient healthcare in complex global systems.
Designed for experienced healthcare managers and leaders with over five years' relevant professional experience, this multi-disciplinary Master’s degree is led by the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences in partnership with Saïd Business School, creating an innovative and integrated programme that harnesses the University’s world-leading expertise in healthcare, business and policy.
Taking a holistic approach, it will help you develop resilience and the ability to innovate and strengthen healthcare provision, by looking at healthcare from an individual, organisational and systemic perspective. It brings together world-leading departments in healthcare research and delivery with experts in leadership and business.
The part-time modular format consists of seven in-person modules and one module online. During these courses, you’ll benefit from discussion and networking with an international group of world-class faculty, guest experts and peers.
Studying at Oxford
Saïd Business School and the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences are both embedded at the heart of the University of Oxford.
Each module will provide interaction and networking opportunities with classmates, faculty and industry guests - whilst offering you privileged access to different parts of the historic Oxford University.
You will become a member of one of the University's colleges. This membership enables you to make wider connections with a multidisciplinary community of Oxford faculty and students.
After you have completed the programme, you will also become a member of the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences Alumni and Oxford Business Alumni Network (OBA), offering valuable ongoing networking and learning opportunities.
