Undergraduate study
Welcome to Undergraduate Study at the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences.
For the majority of people in the UK, contact with healthcare professionals happens almost entirely outside of hospital. Ninety per cent of all patient contacts in the NHS occur in primary care. Our team is enthusiastic and committed to teaching students about this vital speciality.
The Primary Care Teaching Team is unique in that our courses span the entire length of the Oxford degree. This means that we get to know students from their very first day at Medical School right through to their finals, providing continuity for their whole career at Oxford.
