Cardiovascular risk prediction on and mobile interventions to reduce cardiovascular risk after hypertensive pregnancies
Currently, I am pursuing a DPhil in Primary Health Care, supported by a generous Clarendon scholarship. My proposed research involves developing an app for postpartum long-term cardiovascular health as well as the risk assessment of hypertension after pregnancy using CPRD data.
I hold an B.Sc. in Computer Science from the Technical University of Munich and an M.Sc. in Software Engineering (Elite Graduate Program) from the Technical University of Munich, the Ludwig-Maximilian-University of Munich and the University of Augsburg.
My research experience includes 8 months of research at the Massachussetts Institute of Technology, where I designed and implemented two mobile apps for older adults and their informal caregivers to support healthy longevity and aging-in-place.
Furthermore, I have also worked for over 2.5 years in a research project at the Technical University of Munich and the University Clinic in Bonn. In this project, I worked on mobile motion tracking for disease prevention and rehabilitation. I have implemented several interventions that aim to support patients with neuronal diseases to conduct valid clinical tests in their homes. Examples include: A balance test that uses augmented-reality body-tracking to enable patients with neuronal diseases to track their balance progress at home. Additionally, I used the TrueDepth sensor of an iPhone to calculate the facial asymmetry after a stroke for a facial analysis test. Finally, I worked to a gait analysis test to track gait impairments due to neurological diseases using an iPhone.
In the past, I have received several scholarships for research. These included the German Academic Exchange Service and the Max-Weber Program of Bavaria.
