Epidemiologist / Health Data Scientist

Irene's background is in biomedical science (BSc), immunology of infectious diseases (MSc), statistics and epidemiology (PhD). Before joining the Bennett Institute for Applied Data Science, she worked mainly in the global health sector, specifically in malaria and neglected tropical disease research. Her work focuses on generating 'good data' and applying statistical methodology to improve public health policy and intervention strategies. She is passionate about making research accessible through open access practices and better communication/presentation of research.
