DPhil Candidate

I am a clinical pharmacist and DPhil candidate with a particular interest in medicines optimisation and health inequalities. My research sits at the intersection of data science, clinical practice and health policy. It examines the adoption of clinical guidelines in the management of non-communicable diseases using population-level health data. I am based at the Bennett Institute for Applied Data Science, supervised by Professor Ben Goldacre and Dr Helen Curtis.

The DPhil builds on four years as a primary care pharmacist in inner-city Bradford and two years consulting to GP practices across England in specialist clinical services and population health management. I’ve also contributed to the development of an internationally patented AI health assistant and provided health technology consultancy.

I hold a Master of Pharmacy degree from the University of Nottingham alongside postgraduate and independent prescribing qualifications from the University of Manchester and the University of Huddersfield. Beyond clinical and academic work, I currently serve on the board of the Royal College of General Practitioners, Thames Valley Faculty as Pharmacist Representative.
