Research Fellow
I am a qualitative researcher in the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences. My research focuses on communication in health and social care settings, and I have a particular interest in end-of-life care.
In 2023, I was awarded a NIHR SPCR post-doctoral fellowship. During this fellowship I will use conversation analysis to explore end-of-life communication in out-of-hours primary care.
I am also a co-PI at Kingston University on the 'Victoria and Stuart' project (NIHR202963), which aims to improve end-of-life care planning with people with learning disabilities using co-design methods.
Prior to joining the university I worked as a Kingston University Research Associate on the 'Growing Older Planning Ahead' study (NIHR129491), during which I managed a work package which co-designed resources to support older people with learning disabilities and their families to plan for the future. I completed a PhD at UCL exploring communication between senior hospice clinicians and the families of patients at the end of life.
