Sufen Zhu

Dphil student

Sufen joined the Cancer Research Group in October 2023 as a DPhil student in Nuffield Department of Primary Health Care Sciences. Her research focuses on using repeated blood test measurements to improve cancer detection. She is supervised by Prof. Brian Nicholson, Dr. Pradeep Virdee, Prof. Eva Morris and Prof. Richard Hobbs, and her work is supported by HDRUK and NIHR ARC.

 

Prior to her DPhil, Sufen was based in the Health Behaviours Team, mainly working on behavioural interventions for smoking cessation and weight management. In 2021, she completed her Mphil in Primary Care Research at the University of Cambridge, where she explored the impact of screening for atrial fibrillation.
