SAPC Women's Health Special Interest Group
This Society for Academic Primary Care (SAPC) Special Interest Group (SIG) promotes research into women’s health within primary care. This SIG is relevant to all researchers interested in women’s health. We welcome clinical and non-clinical researchers to join our group.
Women’s Health encompasses women’s reproductive and gynaecological health, as well as biological and gender-related differences in other areas of healthcare.
Our aims are to:
- ensure academic primary care takes a central role in improving women’s healthcare
- increase awareness of health inequalities experienced by women and develop and evidence to mitigate against these
- share excellence in research/teaching practices
- form collaborations to strengthen research and teaching
- support junior members through mentoring by more senior members
