About us
We work at the intersection of international health systems, policy, and models of care, generating and applying cutting-edge evidence to design more equitable systems worldwide. Through research, teaching, advocacy, and advisory work, we help countries advance Universal Health Coverage, with a focus on underserved populations.
Our work addresses pressing global challenges; from demographic shifts and health inequalities to climate change and digital transformation, all through the lens of primary care. We focus on system design and service delivery, rather than clinical or biomedical interventions.

Our team of international mixed-methods health system researchers bring an interdisciplinary focus to our projects. We work closely with WHO, the World Bank, the OECD, the World Organisation of Family Doctors, and multiple governments and ministries of health. Members of our team play leading roles in Lancet Commissions and serve as senior health systems advisors to governments all over the world.

Patient and public involvement
Our team is committed to embedding meaningful patient and public involvement in our global primary care research and practice. Every empirical project is developed and disseminated in partnership with local community stakeholders. Our wider team is also supported by a Global Primary Care Patient and Public Involvement Standing Committee - constituted to ensure that all of our research is carried out with and by patients and the public, not to, about, or for them. Our Committee helps to shape research that is relevant, inclusive, accessible, and impactful for communities worldwide.
