Advancing women’s careers, visibility, and impact in health economics
Women in Health Economics is a global network dedicated to advancing the representation, visibility, and leadership of women across the field of health economics. We bring together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers from diverse backgrounds to foster a more inclusive and equitable discipline.
Our work focuses on supporting women at all career stages through mentorship, collaboration, and knowledge exchange. By creating opportunities for connection and professional development, we aim to strengthen career progression and amplify the contributions of women in academia, healthcare systems such as the NHS, and policy environments worldwide.
We are committed to driving meaningful impact in health economics by promoting diversity of perspectives, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration, and supporting evidence-based decision-making that improves health outcomes globally.
Our vision
To achieve equitable representation, visibility, and leadership of women in health economics globally.
Our mission
To build a diverse and inclusive global network that supports women through mentorship, fosters collaboration across sectors, and enables meaningful impact in research, practice, and policy.
Members & Community
Our community includes women at all career stages, from PhD students to senior academics and policy leaders , working across universities, government, NGOs, and industry.
This is a meaningful platform for women in health economics to share real experiences, both the challenges and the wins. It is an opportunity to learn from each other, be inspired by different journeys and strengthen voices that deserve to be heard.
I support the Women in Health Economics network because growing together matters. As someone working on children and family wellbeing, I know how important it is for women in our field to be seen, supported, and given space to lead.
