Comprising leading academics and industry professionals, this diverse group brings a wealth of expertise and experience across various disciplines. Their collective knowledge spans cutting-edge research, practical applications, and industry insights, ensuring a comprehensive and up-to-date curriculum.
Prof Sophie Park, Academic Lead for Primary Care Undergraduate Teaching
Prof Park has overall responsibility for all aspects of GP teaching that take place across the six years of the medical undergraduate course.
Dr Rachel Allan, Deputy Academic Lead
Dr Allan is the lead for the Year 5 Community Based Medicine (CBM) block. She also has lead responsibilities for student assessment, teaching quality and tutor training. She is working to develop the use of technology both in learning and assessment.
Dr Alison Convey, Deputy Academic Lead
Dr Convey is the lead for undergraduate Primary Care courses in Years 1,2,3 and 4. She is particularly interested in course development and communications.

Dr Ruth Wilson, Lead for Communication Skills Teaching
Dr Ruth Wilson is a GP and course lead for Clinical Communication Skills with a special interest in medical professionalism.
The course focus is on small group teaching using simulated patients to help and support students manage complex areas of clinical communication.
Ruth is an experienced medical educator and a qualified Schwartz round facilitator.
Ruth was awarded a Medical Sciences Division lifetime achievement teaching excellence award in 2023.
Dr Ingle is deputy lead for the Year 5 Community Based Medicine (CBM) course. She also leads on Patient and Public Involvement and on Professional Development across the Primary Care Undergraduate Teaching Group. Dr Ingle works as a GP at a practice in Oxford and for the Oxfordshire Out of Hours service.
Dr Richard Harrington
Dr Harrington is a GP partner in Thame, Oxfordshire and Associate Director of Graduate Entry Medicine. In this role he is mainly responsible for overseeing the clinical teaching and running clinical problem seminars. He is particularly interested in using videos of patients in clinical teaching.

Dr David McCartney is Director of Graduate Entry Medicine and a GP in Oxford. He has overall responsibility for the 4 year Graduate Entry Course and overseas the pre-clinical teaching and clinical placements for the course.
Dr Amiry is the Academic Lead for Year 4 courses in Primary Care and is involved in teaching on various courses including Clinical Communication Skills and Community Based Medicine.
Dr Tom Fanshawe is a senior statistician and University Research Lecturer in the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences. He is the co-ordinator of the Year 1/Year 2 medical statistics module.
Dr Jason Oke is a senior statistician at the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences and deputy co-ordinator of the Year 1/Year 2 medical statistics module.
Maria Luque provides administrative support for all Primary Care undergraduate teaching activities across the six-year course, working with Emma Wiley. She liaises with approximately 160 students in each year of the course and around 150 General Practice Tutors across the region, ensuring the efficient delivery of teaching to our students.

Emma Wiley has overall responsibility for the administration of all Primary Care undergraduate teaching activities across the six-year course and manages the Administration team (the Course Admin Assistant and Finance and Teaching Admin Officer).
Kristy Ravenhall is the Statistics Module Administrator.
